Permit-Specific Testing

Stormwater permits in Texas are issued under the TPDES program, and each permit type has different monitoring requirements. Whether you're managing a construction site, operating an industrial facility, or running an MS4 program, the parameters and sampling protocols are specific to your situation.

Eastex provides stormwater analysis tailored to your permit requirements. We can help you determine which parameters apply, keep you supplied with preserved sample containers so you're ready when a qualifying rain event hits, and provide the grab or composite sample analysis your permit calls for.

Permit Programs

Testing support across all TPDES stormwater permit categories.

Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP)

Benchmark monitoring for industrial facilities. We test the sector-specific parameters required by your MSGP classification and help you track results against benchmark thresholds.

Construction General Permit (CGP)

Stormwater monitoring for active construction sites. Grab sampling for turbidity, pH, TSS, and other parameters required during construction activity.

MS4 Programs

Analytical support for municipal separate storm sewer system monitoring programs. Outfall sampling, dry weather screening, and illicit discharge investigation testing.

Individual Permits

Facilities with site-specific stormwater discharge permits have unique monitoring requirements. We work with you to understand your permit conditions and provide the exact analysis needed.

Common Parameters

Stormwater testing parameters vary by permit type and sector. Here are the most commonly required analyses:

  • TSS (Total Suspended Solids)
  • pH
  • Oil & Grease
  • BOD / COD
  • Turbidity
  • Fecal Coliform / E. Coli
  • Metals (ICP scan)
  • Ammonia / TKN
  • Nitrate / Nitrite
  • Total Phosphorus
  • VOCs
  • Sector-specific benchmark parameters

Sampling Support

Stormwater sampling has specific timing and collection requirements. Samples often need to be collected during the first 30 minutes of a qualifying rain event, which doesn't always happen during business hours. Our field services team can handle on-site collection when you need it, or we can provide the sample containers and preservation materials for your staff to collect.
